Lessons Learnt in Rwanda:

Lesson 1 -  Building Bridges Beyond Construction

Today was our second day of work in Rwanda, and we started by adjusting the cables to the abutment and assembling the swingers. As I led the assembling of the swingers, I was both excited and nervous. However, as the day went by, I found a good rhythm with Grace supporting me and playing a pivotal role (grinding).

But what made this day truly special was the joyful singing of the local Rwanda team. Despite the hot and tiring day, their laughter and songs showed us that the power of positivity and togetherness can make a challenging day of work much easier. We were reminded that building bridges goes beyond construction, it's about building relationships and sharing experiences.

Personally, I enjoyed leading the warm-up with a series of dynamic dancing stretches that the local team thoroughly enjoyed.

As we continue to work together to build a bridge, we have learned so much from the local team. We have learned that laughter and joy can make a difficult day of work easier, that building bridges goes beyond construction, and that we can learn from each other and create a sense of unity.

In conclusion, today has been an invaluable lesson in bridging cultures and communities. We leave with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper understanding of what it means to build bridges beyond construction.

Tomorrow marks another day of building beyond the red line boundary!
